Kathy Santoriello MD, FACOG
Kathy Santoriello is a Board Certified member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). She completed her training at Duke University Medical Center and served for years as a Duke Clinical Consulting Associate. Dr. Santoriello brings a wealth of clinical and surgical experience to Stuart, Florida as well as diagnostic capabilities through ultrasounds. Dr. Santoriello has acheived honors and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. She provides a warm and compassionate experience for all her patients. She is dedicated in serving her community through her gynecology services at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.

After many years providing obstetrical and gynecological services at her large practice in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dr. Santoriello joined her husband in sunny Florida. She started her Florida private practice in 2004 and quickly became a popular choice for gynecology care in Stuart.
With her intense surgical and uro-gynecolgy background, her practice focuses strictly on gynecology and women's health. This provides a small office setting to cater to a woman's most intimate health care needs.
With privileges at St. Lucie Medical Center along with local surgery centers she is well established in the medical community. We treat each patient like family. Our compassionate, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible.

The good news is incontinence is treatable and often curable at all ages. Here at Santoriello Gynecology we have many therapies to help with any bladder control problem.
The muscles of the pelvic floor are like a hammock, acting to support the organs of the abdomen and pelvis (including the bladder). Pelvic floor muscles become weakened or damaged with pregnancy, during childbirth, surgery, excess straining, obesity, or simply due to genetic inheritance or even aging. The result can be pelvic pain, bulging, back pain, incomplete emptying, posturing, or even incontinence. To combat such issues, we teach Kegel exercises. Unfortunately for some, practicing Kegels at home has just not achieved adequate results perhaps due to improper squeezing of the abdominal muscles, the buttocks, or even the thighs. Adding a Biofeedback Program or Pelvic Floor Therapy makes use of an internal sensor (placed in the vagina) to assess and strengthen the pelvic floor.
